Thanks Everyone for a Successful Semester!
As the semester comes to a close, I would like to thank and congratulate everyone on their hard work. Special thanks to our consultants Mrs. Lin, Mrs. Sheen, and Mrs. Wu. Thank you so much for your work because we could not have succeeded this year. Also thank you Mrs. Chang and Mrs. Tsai for giving us knowledge and helping us persist through a diffcult year. Finally good job and thanks members/officers for working hard and selling well. With our five characteristics of High 5 ( work ethic, innovation, communication, leadership, and persistence), we will continue on to finish the year as a very successful company. Meeting on Nov 14
This week we talked about Trade Fair and the important aspects it holds for our company. Please remember your shift and the dress attire. Be successful and we will profit well from this experience. We then reminded people to bring in shirts/ money and then we produced more products.

Guest Speaker November 6th
The guest speaker Ball Lee will be speaking to us next week taking place of the meeting planned (Saturday November 6th from 2-4 P.M.). Mr. Lee used to be a CEO at a big corporation and will be speaking to us on things relating to running a business. Everyone is invited to attend so you can bring whomever. Members are encouraged to make posters to put around the school so other kids can come too. Officers are required to do this. Thanks!
Meeting on Saturday,October 16
Today's meeting we discussed how to sell T-shirts effectively. Remember members it is imperative that we begin to sell now to expand our account so we can run the business prosperously. When selling a shirt have them sign the T-shirt order form that was passed out today and collect their money. Also, Jessica needs for everyone to pay their stocks. So be sure to bring them next meeting. Do not forget about the barbecue booth next week and go to your shift!!! Ginna will be in charge of the next meeting.

Meeting on Saturday, October 9th
Our meeting on last Saturday concluded that we are in fact selling the T-shirts for 13 dollars per shirt. All members and officers are required to sell 2 shirts but all are greatly encouraged to sell more. Selling more T-shirts gives you a larger paycheck at the end of the year so like a regular business, GO SELL!!! Also, for the next few meetings we will be creating merchandise for us to begin to sell. We desperately need these merchandise so we can sell our goods at Trade Fair in December. Therefore, come to meetings with an attitude to learn and create goods. Don't be disrespectful and talk when Mrs. Linda, Mrs. Stella, and Mrs Jean are talking. Pay attention and we will have a successful year!

Important Dates for This Year
Members, just wanted to let you know that several important dates have been confirmed. Officer training will be September 25th at the HCC Town and Country Campus again, just like last year. Beltway 8 and I-10.Also, we will be back at Memorial City Mall for Trade Fair December 4th. Please mark in your calendars to attend these events because they are very beneficial and required. Thanks.

Good Work At Meeting
At yesterday's company meeting, the following items were discussed: 1. company names 2. products 3. things to learn 4. T-shirt ideas. During our discussion over company names, the 3 following were picked out and are going to be voted on. Blank Inc., Hi-5 Enterprise, and Stepping Stones Company were the 3 chosen. If you have any ideas for company names, please talk to me about it. For products, we decided upon the best sellable and cost efficient products. The products of this year will include snowmen, animal/name wires, shrinkydinks, cute animals, and birthday cards. We will continue discussing these topics and how to make them during later meetings. The 2 following topics we chose to learn this year through our guest speakers are advertising techniques and saving money 101. If you wish to learn something else or know a guest speaker willing to come, please contact me as soon as possible. And finally, the company came up with many T-shirt ideas for our one company T-shirt. The ideas were 1. a wordle with many unique words around the shirt 2. a person with blank thoughts and 3. dinosaurs hi-fiving each other. If you also have an idea, talk to me. Good job at a successful meeting and I hope to have many in the future.

Success Today At "We Care" Fair
Thanks everyone for a successful day at the "We Care" Fair. We made $564 dollars to be donated to charity and goodwill. We managed our booth really well and sold most of our products. To all members who went, a congratulations is said. Next we will have an imperative group meeting sometime this month in July. I will let everyone know when the meeting is. At the meeting, we will have 3 important things to discuss for the future of our company. The 1st will be the company name. If you have any ideas for the name, please feel free to post them on this blog and we can discuss it. The 2nd will be to see what people want to learn for the 2010-2011 year. Once we know, I will know what speakers to invite to our meetings. The 3rd is the most important and it is to see what we will sell as our products this year. Please feel free to think of new creative and innovative ideas so we can make this year more special and new. Thanks once again for a great day.

Event on July 3, 2010
There will be an event on July 3, 2010 where we will be selling things. Everyone should try to attend as it serves as community service hours. The event will be a fun and exciting event where we can get together for the first time as our Junior Achievement group.
